it all begins as a result of an
investigation we conducted in southern
China on the dog meat trade in guandong
[Music]
Province after reviewing the images
seeing the they had caused and that
these animals are also used for leather
we decided to buy a ticket to
China we spent 3 weeks visiting their
slaughter houses and markets to document
what occurs
[Music]
there when we arrived in China we
immediately began to visit several
markets and dog meet slaughter houses
[Music]
we went to Chang Ying City in which we
found two clandestin dog slaughter
houses one in which we entered and spent
quite a lot of time with the
slaughterers gaining their
trust we entered the area where the dogs
were kept to understand the situation
they were experiencing and to find out
how the animals were we saw dogs that
were kept for several days without
eating or drinking surrounded by feces
and completely terrorized
[Music]
given the story we told the slaughterers
to gain access into the slaughter house
we could not show any sympathy for the
animals and they're suffering although
we would have liked
to while they were not looking we
entered the area where the animals were
kept and V was the first dog to approach
us looking for
[Music]
affection
she stood near the door and lifted her
paw trying to get out of there she
looked into our eyes and we could
clearly see that she wanted to leave the
slaughter house meanwhile the rest of
the dogs remained terrorized in the
corner did not even want to approach
us we had to use several different aliis
and different stories to allow us to
enter and record in places where the
animals were kept in this case we made
up a story that we were going to
undertake business with them and they
were going to earn money with
us we ended up agreeing that we could
take one of the dogs to kill and eat
ourselves the slaughterers believed that
the dog was going to bite me as soon as
I picked her up because they were used
to dogs trying to defend themselves
against
slaughterers however I put a collar on
the dog and she calmly came with
me

Co called us telling us that he'd been
able to rescue one of the dogs from the
slaughter house by tricking the
slaughterers and had managed to save the
dog's life now we had to look after her
we are now responsible for her life
speaking to other activists and
considering the situation in China we
thought it was best to bring her back to
Spain so that we could look after her
following this we started to look for
someone who could
adop
I found out that Jose had rescued a dog
from a slaughter house in China I was
shocked and amazed they were looking for
someone to adopt her and I immediately
realized that I wanted to be that person
I would give her the home she deserved
and help her forget the nightmare that
she had
[Music]
experienced watching me and I on
screen where are
you you're not with
[Music]
me where are
you I'm
free you left me high and try and change
me you lied to me now I am angry
and if the sun comes in your room and
awakes you from your heading you won't
find me cuz I'll be on top the mountain
[Music]
pissing the surprise came when we took
to the vet and it turned out she had not
come alone but with seven or eight
puppies perhaps one of the situations
that struck me most on this trip after
learning about this industry and all the
animals go through was the extent to
which the animals suffer due to terrible
transport they suffer while being
transferred from he to guandong several
thousands of kilometers in trucks
without being able to drink or
[Music]
eat they are then thrown into cages to
the ground where their bones are broken
and from there they are transported to
the slaughter
houses This truly a hellish Journey
where several of them die and
unfortunately Vita also had to go
through
[Applause]
this after being there and infiltrating
ourselves into those markets seen
criminal gangs committed to kidnapping
these animals and inflicting all types
of atrocities upon them we believe this
is the only way to expose this cruelty
and we also feel the animals deserve
that we do as much as possible for
[Music]
them following several years carrying
out investigations in various countries
visiting farms and slaughter houses I
can say that all animals whether pigs
dogs or cows they all suffer and are
terrified in their final moments of life
each of them looks at you begging you to
help them to escape from that
place I think it is the responsibility
of each one of us to do something for
[Music]
them and there will be W
